Yin Luo joined Wolfe Research in October 2016 as a Vice Chairman to lead the coverage of Quantitative Research, Sustainability, and Portfolio Strategy (QES). Yin was ranked #1 in Extel magazine’s All America equity research survey in Quantitative Research for 2025 and has been ranked #1 or #2 in the past 15 years. He has also been top ranked in Portfolio Strategy, Economics, Accounting & Tax Policy, and sustainability sectors in the past decade.

Prior to Wolfe Research, Yin was a Managing Director and Global Head of Quantitative & Derivatives Strategy at Deutsche Bank, where he led the team to achieve #1 ranking in Extel-Europe and Extel-Asia surveys in Quantitative Research. Before arriving at Deutsche Bank, he spent over 12 years in investment banking and at a management consulting firm with various roles in quantitative research, fundamental research, portfolio management, investment banking, and consulting. In 2016-2018, Yin was selected to the UPstanding’s top 100 ethnic-minority executives in the US and Europe by the Financial Times. In 2023, he was elected as one of the Top 10 AI Minds on Wall Street by Rebellion Research.

Yin is currently an Adjunct Professor of Finance at the Graduate School of Business, Columbia University. Yin also serves on the Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council (FASAC), advising the FASB (the accounting standard-setting body in the U.S.) on priorities and processes. Yin holds a Master of Management and Professional Accounting degree from University of Toronto. He is a CFA® charterholder, a U.S. CPA, a CGMA (Chartered Global Management Accountant), and a PStat (Professional Statistician).
