Executive Assistant to Founder & CEO

Firm Founder, Managing Partner and CEO is looking for a confident, motivated and detail-oriented Executive Assistant with a positive attitude and strong administrative and problem-solving skills. He is seeking someone who chooses to work in a fast paced, growing environment, where they can develop a strong understanding of finance and corporate practices.

The successful candidate will have the ability to organize and execute tasks and projects without supervision, at least 2-3 years’ administrative experience, and strong personal and professional references. Experience with Excel, Power Point and Outlook is required.

The Assistant will work directly with the firm’s CEO and likely another Senior Executive or two and be responsible for performing a number of administrative duties including heavy calendar management, booking travel, planning firmwide events in and outside of the office, expense reporting and handling personal matters. The Assistant will regularly coordinate scheduling on behalf of the CEO with the firm’s Executive and Operating Committee members, various teams, and employees across departments, as well as externally with clients, vendors and other firm partners.


  • Schedule internal/external meetings while ensuring smooth daily schedule flow for the CEO
  • Answer phone calls with proper call screening, forwarding, and message taking
  • Personal and business travel arrangements
  • Submit and track expense reports
  • Sharing communication on behalf of the CEO including sometimes confidential correspondence
  • Prioritize conflicting needs and ensure follow through on all projects, deadlines, and communication
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with highly sensitive information
  • Ability to be in the New York office up to 5 days a week


  • At least 2-3 years’ experience supporting a Senior Management team or individual 
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a strong GPA, preferably Business and /or Finance
  • Daily work within Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Excel (strong), Word, and PowerPoint  
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail skills with strong commitment to accuracy
  • Proactively handle regular activities and follow up without prompting
  • Exhibit a high degree of motivation, sense of urgency and professional demeanor
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize to complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Desire to build career and not just find a job
